Expert Witness Testimony
Attorneys have always dreaded the distinct possibility that witnesses will fail to appear for trial - be it due to illness, logistics, personal conflicts or even outright fear. If the witnesses can't be compelled to appear or be somehow transported to the courtroom, the consequences can be devastating. A sizable number of felony cases have been dropped and defendants set free when eyewitnesses or victims have not been available to complete the evidentiary chain.
At The Videoconferencing & Training Center, you can have one lawyer in New Jersey, another in Chicago, and a witness in New York all participate in the same deposition or meeting. To make it as convenient as possible, we can also have a video technician come to your law office or other location in the greater New York Metropolitan area with a digital camera and record a deposition on site. A professional video recording will be provided to you in VHS or digital format following the deposition.
Delays will also be a thing of the past; you won't have to worry about rushing to the airport to catch a flight. Whether it be access to a remote expert witness, or the taping of a deposition, videoconferencing can drastically reduce the time and effort involved in the information gathering process.
