7. What factors affect quality?
The speed of the network connection is one of the biggest contributors to quality. If the network connection is slow or unstable (such as over the open internet) the video session can be unusable. Newer equipment (manufactured after 1999) can produce excellent motion pictures from even slow speed connections and therefore can significantly contribute to better quality images.

It can reach into far remote areas that would not normally have access to your resources and it can bring to you, the resources from those people in far remote areas. Videoconferencing will not substitute for all face-to-face meetings but it can reduce their frequency and result in savings in time, travel and accommodation costs. It also adds a visual dimension not available over the telephone.
